IFE-ILE is available for touring, private
parties and corporate events, as well as workshops and seminars.
Our high-energy shows mesmerize our audiences with Afro-Cuban rhythms.
We perform in a range of styles, from sacred Orisha dance and folkloric
rumba to Hip Hop, Timba and salsa. We also perform a range of other
styles including mambo, Son, Cha Cha Cha, Samba/Capoeira, swing,
jazz and modern dance.
Our performers include talented
professional dancers and musicians with years of experience, most
based in Miami, Florida. Internationally known Afro-Cuban choreographer
and dancer Neri Torres leads the
IFE-ILE company.
In addition to producing our own major stage shows such as our
acclaimed musical, Guaguanco,
IFE-ILE performs for both corporate
and non-profit clients, as well as nationally known festivals
such as the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, DC. We
also present our shows at colleges and universities both in Florida
and out-of-state.

Our dance company has also been featured in commercials, videos
and movies, including actor/director Andy Garcias recent film
The Lost City, which premiered at the 2006 Miami Film Festival.
One of our recent performances includes the opening celebration
for the 2006 Calle Ocho Festival, a huge private party for funders
and their friends, where we performed in the traditional carnaval
style of Cuba.
In 2005, we performed for a celebration of the Latin dance stamps
offered by the U.S. Postal Service (each of the four, colorful stamps
honors a different style: Salsa, Mambo, Cha Cha Cha and Merengue.

Our most recent production is Guaganco:
Oyela Bien (or Guaguanco: The Rumba Musical), which we've performed
to enthusiastic audiences at the Coconut Grove Playhouse, the Manuel
Artime Theatre and the Miami Salsa Congress.
When we performed at the Coconut Grove Playhouse in 2005, as part
of our 2005 Afro-Cuban dance festival, we were so well-received
that one audience member donated the funds for us to present a second,
encore performance at Manuel Artime Theatre! See

An audience member at the Salsa Congress wrote in her review, "I
am glad I was there last night to see the Guaguanco Oyelo
Bien musical, as it turned out that Neri Torres and Ife-Ile
have a really good thing going on!" read
